Product Description

DESCRIIPTIION: Roasted hazelnuts whole in appearance. Although the product
has been blanched some skin may remain. Because the product
is natural the percentage whole count cannot be guaranteed.
Harvest: Hazelnuts are hand harvested whilst in their husks. The
husks are removed after being sun dried, some husks are
removed by hand but most in husking machines. Sheller’s crack
the shells between revolving millstones or other similar
equipment. The shell is then removed and the nuts cleaned by
blowers. The Hazelnuts are then screened and graded to size.
Process: Blanched Hazelnuts roasted above **0ºC, inspected
and sieved prior to packing/weighing and metal detection.
